Back-end developer



About the role

Build the foundations of modern applications. You’ll design and maintain APIs, databases, and server logic that power great user experiences. From optimising performance to ensuring security and scalability, you’ll work closely with front-end developers and DevOps engineers to deliver robust solutions for our clients.


What you’ll do

  • Develop, test, and maintain server-side applications and APIs
  • Design data models and manage relational/NoSQL databases
  • Ensure security, performance, and scalability of systems
  • Integrate with third-party services and external APIs
  • Collaborate with front-end developers and project teams in Agile environments

What we’re looking for

  • Strong skills in one or more back-end languages (e.g. Python, PHP, Java, C#, Node.js)
  • Experience with frameworks (e.g. Spring Boot, .NET Core, Express, Django)
  • Knowledge of SQL/NoSQL databases (e.g. PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB)
  • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines, containers (Docker/Kubernetes), and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Familiarity with security best practices and REST/GraphQL APIs

Nice to have

  • Experience with microservices and event-driven architectures
  • Knowledge of testing frameworks and automated testing
  • Interest in DevOps and infrastructure-as-code
